Guided Ascents Tryfan - North Ridge Scramble
Want to scramble the North Ridge of Tryfan but sure you’ve got what it takes? Let one of our guides take the stress out of your day so you can enjoy the best way to the summit.
The serious North Ridge scramble of Tryfan can be dangerous and intimidating, however with an experienced instructor leading the way you are guaranteed a memorable day tackling one of the most iconic mountain features in Snowdonia.
The North Ridge is the the hardest way up Tryfan with breathtaking exposure and (on a good day) incredible views across the whole national park, out to the Anglesey coast.
For those looking for an easier day out, the South Ridge via Cwm Blochllwyd offers similar stunning mountain scenery with slightly less difficult scrambling.
So what are you waiting for? Book Now for an unforgettable mountain scramble.
Who is it for?
Tryfan via the North Ridge is not for the faint hearted. There is a serious drop on either side of the ridge and some basic grade one scrambling is required (using your hands for a few easy climbing moves) to get up.
We recommend having a good general level of fitness, a head for heights and some experience of mountain walking and/or rock climbing as a base level of skill before attempting to traverse the ridge.
Your instructor will guide you along the route showing you the best and easiest way across, along with navigation should the visibility be poor.
A full kit list will be provided upon booking but participants should be prepared for a full mountain day of 6-8 hours.
